Privacy Policy
Please be advised that this Site is hosted in the United States and is only intended for users in United States.
GDPR
As we only target, market to, sell and ship within the United States, and do not do targeted marketing to customers within the EU, or monitor the behavior of users located in the EU, our company do not have to comply with EU GDPR regulations.
Having a website accessible in the EU is not, by itself, sufficient to create an “establishment” in the EU and is insufficient to trigger GDPR applicability.
If you access the Site from the European Union, Asia, or any other region of the world with laws or other requirements governing personal data collection, use, or disclosure that differ from applicable laws in the United States, then through your continued use of the Site, you are transferring your data to the United States, and you expressly consent to have your data transferred to and processed in the United States under the laws applicable here.
CCPA
As we are a small company we do not meet the thresholds stated in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), and are therefore not required to be compliant with the CCPA.
If or when we do meet the thresholds we will, of course, amend our website and privacy policy to be compliant with CCPA.
The thresholds are stated in the legislation section 1798.140.
“
(A) Has annual gross revenues in excess of twenty-five million dollars ($25,000,000), as adjusted pursuant to paragraph (5) of subdivision (a) of Section 1798.185.
(B) Alone or in combination, annually buys, receives for the business’ commercial purposes, sells, or shares for commercial purposes, alone or in combination, the personal information of 50,000 or more consumers, households, or devices.
(C) Derives 50 percent or more of its annual revenues from selling consumers’ personal information.
“
Read the whole legislation here.
To specify:
- We are nowhere near an annual gross revenue of more than twenty-five million dollars
- Neither do we have much website traffic and do not reach the threshold of more than 50,000 visits to our website from Californian residents a year
- And lastly, we do not sell any personal information to anybody
Further, we do not knowingly accept, request, or solicit information from children or knowingly market to children or people under the age of 18. Therefore, we do not comply with the Content Eraser law, and in accordance with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, if we receive actual knowledge that anyone under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us without the requisite and verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information from the Site as quickly as is reasonably practical.
Pure Scenic respects the privacy of our users and is fully committed to comply with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations relating to the collection of information from users and protect your personal data and use it in accordance with legal obligations.

Purescenic.com uses user ID tracking in Google Analytics. User ID’s are anonymous.

Google Ads & Google Analytics Advertising Features
We use Googles advertising service “Google Ads” to advertise for our business.
This means that you might see our ads in Googles search results in the Google Search Engine or you might see our banner ads when you visit websites that are part of Googles partner network “Google Display Network”.
We also utilise Google Analytics Advertising Features that enable us to use interest-based advertising including remarketing, which let us show personalised ads to you on Googles partner network.
This for example means that after you visit our site, you could see an ad for our wall art on a different site that shows ads served by Google.
Interest-based advertising also let us market to similar audiences, meaning if we have a list of people Google help us advertise to people who are similar to our audience.
Read more about ad personalization on Googles website:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
You can opt-out of ad personalization through your ad settings on your Google account:
https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated
We advertise on Facebook and to analyse the effectiveness of our advertising we use the Facebook pixel.
The Facebook pixel collects data that helps us track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and remarket to people who have already taken some kind of action on our website.
It works by placing and triggering cookies to track users as they interact with our website and our Facebook ads.
See instructions under “Cookie management” on how to opt-out of cookies or remove cookies that have already been set.
We advertise on Linkedin and to analyse the effectiveness of our advertising we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to track conversions, retarget website visitors, and unlock additional insights about LinkedIn members interacting with our ads.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables the collection of data regarding members’ visits to our website, including the URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser characteristics (User Agent), and timestamp. This data is encrypted, the IP addresses are truncated, and members’ direct identifiers are removed within seven days in order to make the data pseudonymous. This remaining, pseudonymized data is then deleted within 90 days.
LinkedIn does not share the personal data with us, it only provides aggregated reports about the website audience and ad performance. LinkedIn also provides retargeting for website visitors, enabling the us to show personalized ads off its website by using this data, but without identifying the LinkedIN member.
LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes through their account settings.
Also, see instructions under “Cookie management” on how to opt-out of cookies or remove cookies that have already been set.
We advertise on Pinterest and to analyze the effectiveness of our advertising we track user behavior. By using this website you consent to that data collection, sharing, and usage.
The information collected will only be used for ads personalization. It will be shared with third parties for online behavioral advertising. If you do not wish for this to happen you can opt-out of online behavioral advertising through your Pinterest personalization settings and/or the AdChoices website: optout.aboutads.info
Also, see instructions under “Cookie management” on how to opt-out of cookies or remove cookies that have already been set.
Cookie Policy
We use “cookies” to collect information about you and your activity across our site.
This helps us serve you content based on preferences you have specified.
We use cookies to help improve your experience of https://purescenic.com
This cookie policy is part of Pure Scenic’s Privacy Policy, and covers the use of cookies between your device and our site. We also provide basic information on third-party services we may use, who may also use cookies as part of their service, though they are not covered by our policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores on your device when you visit, typically containing information about the website itself, a unique identifier that allows the site to recognise your web browser when you return, additional data that serves the purpose of the cookie, and the lifespan of the cookie itself.
A cookie is stored on your computer, and accessed each time you visit our website, so we can understand how you use our site.
The cookie allows our website to “remember” your actions and preferences over time, like for example storage of your shopping card items between visits.
Please note that cookies don’t allow us to gain control of your computer in any way.
A cookie is not a program, it cannot contain viruses or malware and is not harmful in any way.
Cookies are used to enable certain features (eg. logging in), to track site usage (eg. analytics), to store your user settings (eg. timezone, notification preferences), and to personalise your content (eg. advertising, language).
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are normally referred to as “first-party cookies”, and typically only track your activity on that particular site. Cookies set by other sites and companies (ie. third parties) are called “third-party cookies”, and can be used to track you on other websites that use the same third-party service.
Cookies set by this website
Example of third-party cookies that are used and set by this website:
• Google Analytics cookie
• Google advertising cookies
• Doubleclick cookie (Google Analytics Advertising features, Youtube etc.)
• Facebook pixel
• LinkedIn Insights tag

We recommend you accept cookies from us, as some functionality on the website are dependent on them, like remembering your items in the shopping cart.
If you don’t wish to accept cookies from us, you can delete cookies from the purescenic.com domain or instruct your browser to refuse cookies from https://purescenic.com, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired content and services, as they may be depending on remembering the choices you make on the website via a cookie.
Opt-out of cookies and interest-based advertising collectively
To learn more about how you can opt-out of cookies and interest-based advertising visit the link below:
http://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1
Note: Opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will no longer see ads online. It does mean that the company or companies from which you opt-out will no longer show ads that have been tailored to your interests. Ads shown to you will now be selected at random.
“Do Not Track” (DNT) disclosure clause
In 2010, the US Federal Trade Commission issued a privacy report challenging internet browsers to provide a “do not track” feature. Also called DNT, this feature allows consumers to avoid having their online actions monitored.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to the DNT settings. Because there isn’t an industry or legal standard for recongnizing and honoring DNT signals, we don’t respond to them at this time. – Sadly, we cannot, as even if we did it would only apply to our own first-party cookies and not third-party cookies, like for example from Google Analytics and Google Ads and others, who do not currently comply with the DNT settings.
Privacy Policy changes
We may occasionally amend this Privacy Policy, for example in cases when we introduce new services or new features. The amendments to this Privacy Policy enter into force and are applied from the moment they have been uploaded to this page.
Therefore, we encourage you to check this page from time to time. By continuing to use our services or otherwise providing personal data to us, after the amendments to this policy have been implemented, you agree to the updated terms of Privacy Policy.
